Nanofibers


The nanofiber is invisible to the eyes and is so small and light that one gram of nanofibers would orbit the Earth around the equator.

They have a huge specific surface

The 1 m² nanofiber membrane has the same surface size as a football pitch.

Small pore size


The pores between the nanofibers have dimensions of about 20-10 nanometers. So bacterias, viruses, allergens do not pass through them. But they can let air molecules through.

Variable diameter


We can control the diameter of the fibers according to how we need to apply them.

Nanofibers are able to change the properties of many of the materials used or allow you to create completely new materials. Their use is very wide. At present, nanofibers are mostly used in the field of air filtration, where they effectively remove submicron particles, including viruses and bacteria. High efficiency does not change over time, as with electrically charged filters, and the energy consumption required for filtration is much lower. Nanofiltration membranes can separate molecules from 0.5 to 10 nm in size.

NANOSPIDER™ technology


The Nanospider ™ device is used for the production of all types of organic and inorganic nanofibers. The entire range includes not only equipment for laboratories enabling research and development of nanofibers, but also production lines for small series production and industrial large-capacity lines.

All mentioned devices work on the same Nanospider technology, ie. based on polymer spinning by electrospinning. This allows easy expansion of production from laboratory conditions to industrial scale.

Quality of filtered water

Turbidity is the first indicator of pollution in drinking water, especially during the rainy season it causes many problems and diseases. This is caused by inorganic, organic and biologically insoluble particles. Most of this contamination is not primarily dangerous, but the danger is posed by bacteria that live on these insoluble particles. High turbidity also makes effective UV sterilization difficult. Turbidity intensity is given in NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units) and safe values for drinking water must be less than 5 NTU. Approximately 800 NTU was measured in the water in the picture, and in Africa such water is commonly used without any purification for drinking, cooking or washing.

In addition to turbidity, bacterial contamination is mainly monitored, as it actually causes the biggest problems associated with drinking water. Coliform and faecal coliform bacteria together with Escherichia coli are the main indicator of faecal water contamination, and can cause very severe diarrheal diseases, dehydration and in severe cases even death. This relatively frequent contamination can be easily removed by simply filtering the contaminated water through our membrane.
